Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to help maintain a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers, operate cash registers, stock and display merchandise, and perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include leading customer service, processing payments, stocking and rotating merchandise, and maintaining store cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow planograms and merchandise guides.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations including percentages.
• Knowledge of cash handling policies and cashier accountability.
• Ability to operate cash register and related equipment.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to total purchases and give change.
• Stock merchandise, restock and rotate displays; assist with planograms.
• Clean the store; manage trash, floors, restrooms and stockroom.
• Open and close the store under Store Manager direction.
• Perform duties of Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager in their absence.
