Job summary

Qualifications

• Candidates must hold, or be eligible to hold, Wyoming certification in special education with a bachelor’s degree.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds to transfer or restrain students; complete crisis intervention training.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional services to meet needs of students with handicapping conditions.
• Modify curriculum for special-needs students; teach daily living skills for independence.
• Instruct on hygiene, safety, and food preparation; use assistive devices and tech.
• Supervise paraprofessionals; coordinate with general ed teachers to meet IEP requirements.
• Complete required paperwork, monthly reports, and attend PD.
