Job summary

Building Connections Academy in Martinez, CA seeks a School-Based Special Education Paraprofessional to support students with autism in a 1:1 or small-group setting. You’ll implement individualized programs, collect progress data, and help students develop communication, social, and self-help skills.

In-person role, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM–3:00 PM, with competitive pay ($22–$28/hour) and paid training to obtain RBT certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• RBT certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• Immunizations including MMR, Tdap, Varicella, Hep B, and TB clearance.

About The Role

• Hours: In-person, Monday to Friday, 8:30AM to 3:00PM.
• Pay: $22-$28/HR (based on experience, certification, and education).
• Certification: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) required or willingness to become certified within 90 days (paid training included!).

As a School-Based Special Education Paraprofessional, you’ll provide 1:1 behavioral and academic support to students with autism and other developmental differences. You’ll help students develop communication, social, and life skills while fostering a safe, supportive, and fun learning environment.

• Passion for working with children and helping them succeed.
• RBT certification (or willing to obtain within 90 days).
• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s in related field preferred).
