Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a Paraeducator Special Education to support students with disabilities in mainstream, resource room or center-based settings. The role is a Full-Time position for 184 days at 6.5 hours per day, with an anticipated start of 8/31/26.

Insurance benefits available for positions of 6 hours or more per day. Duties include assisting instruction, monitoring student progress in academics and daily living skills, and managing students' physical needs.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Personal Care Assistant certification must be completed within 30 days of start date.
• 60 sem/90 quarter credits or associate degree; or ParaEducator/ParaPro exam.
• Good communications, interpersonal and recordkeeping skills; tech literacy.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the instruction of students with disabilities in mainstream, resource room or center base settings, including behavior management as needed.
• Monitoring and recording student progress in academics, daily living skills and social skills.
• Managing physical needs (toileting, feeding, dressing, lifting, transporting students in wheelchairs, etc.).
