Job summary

Compass Group USA in Purchase, NY is looking for a full-time Sous Chef to lead and coordinate daily kitchen operations. You will assist the Executive Chef, supervise cooks, ensure menu execution, and uphold safety and sanitation standards across all kitchen activities.

The position requires 2 years of large production cooking and bakery ordering experience, with a Sunday–Thursday schedule from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm.

Qualifications

• 2 years of large production cooking and placing bakery orders are required.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards.
• Supervises hourly food service associates including scheduling and training.
• Stores food in designated areas following safety procedures.
• Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies and utensils.
• Interacts with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Manages inventory and deliveries, tracks production, consumption and waste.
