Job summary

Compass Group USA is seeking a full-time Sous Chef in Hempstead, NY. The role reports to the Executive Chef and involves supervising cooks, ensuring quality and safety, and coordinating kitchen activities. Salary is $25.00 per hour with a Tuesday–Saturday schedule and some nights/ weekends; benefits and paid time off are noted.

Two years of catering experience and strong knife skills are preferred. This position requires prior high-volume kitchen experience and the ability to manage staff

Qualifications

• Prior high-volume cooking experience preferred.
• 2 years of catering experience and kitchen staff management.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares food following recipes and production standards.
• Supervises hourly food service staff and oversees training and scheduling.
