Job summary

Compass Group USA in Hempstead, NY is hiring for full-time and part-time Prep Cook positions. You will prepare food and serve customers in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen in accordance with recipes and standards.

Schedule includes Tuesday through Sunday and Sunday through Thursday, 9:00 am–5:00 pm or 2:00 pm–10:00 pm, with online applications accepted. Requires 1 year of kitchen experience; benefits, PTO, and training are provided. Instapay available.

Qualifications

• 1 year of working in a high-volume professional kitchen using knives and commercial cutting equipment.
• Ability to follow recipes and production sheets.
• Willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Obtain daily production schedule and prep requirements from the Chef.
• Prepare items per production sheets following recipes.
• Complete production worksheets and waste logs; taste for quality.
• Operate and clean equipment per department procedures.
• Store, label and date all food items; follow HACCP guidelines.
• Take orders and serve customers at multiple stations.
• Comply with health and sanitation regulations.
