Responsibilities

• Interpret/transliterate instructional conversations in classroom settings using ALS or Signed English as appropriate for the student.
• Maintain current skills to provide accurate interpretation.
• Assist students in expanding signing vocabulary and skills.
• Sign technical terms from curriculum and prepare with lesson plans.
• Follow the work schedule and inform appropriate personnel of departures.
• Interpret conversations between students and peers and attend school events.
• Maintain confidentiality and work as a team member with staff.
