Job summary

Kuna Joint School District 3 seeks an Educational ASL Interpreter for Silver Trail Elementary in Meridian, Idaho. The role serves deaf or hard-of-hearing students by providing accurate, real-time ASL interpretation between English and sign language, supporting teachers, staff, and students on a 184-day calendar.

Required: Bachelor's Degree plus EIPA 3.5+ or NAD/RID certification; 2–3 years of ASL interpreting experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• EIPA score 3.5+ or NAD certification or RID national certification required.
• 2–3 years ASL or related interpreting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time interpretation for students in academic and non-academic settings.
• Assist teachers by modifying materials to meet accessibility needs and support IEP goals.
• Collaborate with district staff and provide ASL/Deaf awareness training as requested.
