Idaho Falls School District 91 seeks an Educational Sign Language Interpreter for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. The position supports interpreting/ translating services across classrooms and school activities, contributing to student achievement.
The role requires an Idaho interpreter license, a high-school diploma, and two years of interpreting experience, with a commitment to collaboration with teachers and staff.

To support the delivery of School District 91's written, taught, tested and reported curriculum and contribute to maximizing student achievement.
"Educational Interpreter" means a person employed in the Idaho public schools to provide interpreting services to school aged students who are deaf, hard of hearing or deaf-blind and hearing participants and peers.
The educational interpreter provides interpreting and/or translating and cultural bridging in the educational environment. This environment includes classroom, laboratory, field trip, assembly, students attending IEP meetings and other educational sites and activities. The educational interpreter is an integral member of the educational team.
This is a full-time position scheduled for 35 hours per week during the school year. Benefits will be in accordance with approved Board policy. Wages will be in accordance with the Classified Salary Schedule as a Grade 15- $30.20or $31.68 (with a bachelors degree or 5 years relevant experience)per hour.
This is an "at will" position in that the employer or employee may terminate employment at any time or for any reason consistent with applicable state or federal law. The "employment at will" policy cannot be changed verbally or in writing, unless the change is specifically authorized in writing and expressly approved by the Board of Trustees of District 91.
Performance of this position will be evaluated annually by the Building Administrator in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on the evaluation of classified personnel. Is knowledgeable of Idaho statutes and requirements for educational interpreters.
This position has been given an overall physical classification of light duty.
