Job summary

Nampa School District is seeking a Sign Language Interpreter to provide interpreting and support for deaf or hard-of-hearing students across various schools. You will facilitate communication among students, teachers, and staff, and assist with IEP processes and related activities.

The role requires strong ASL and English skills, appropriate certifications, and the ability to work in a dynamic educational environment. This is a full-time on-site position with district-wide impact.

Qualifications

• Experience interpreting for deaf or hard-of-hearing students preferred.
• EIPA/NAD/RID certification within 1 year preferred.
• ASL interpreting experience and classroom involvement are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provides interpreting for pupils who are deaf or hard of hearing in all educational settings.
• Contributes to IEP meetings with insights on communication needs.
• Provides tutoring/note-taking support for DHH students.
• Maintains accurate student records and prepares for daily lessons.
• Supports classroom management and collaboration with staff.
