Purple Communications, Inc. is seeking a full-time Sign Language Interpreter to provide high-quality interpreting through video in a call center and on-site at client locations. Candidates must be fluent in American Sign Language and English, with knowledge of NAD-RID Code of Conduct.

This role offers a comprehensive benefits package and a guaranteed full-time schedule. Must pass a skills assessment and complete a 40-hour New Hire Training.

Qualifications

• Fluent ASL and spoken English language skills.
• Able to provide accurate interpretation.
• Good understanding of Deaf culture.
• NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct adherence.
• Three to five years of interpreting experience preferred.
• State licensure or credentials as applicable.
• You must be 18 years or older to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective video relay service, video remote interpreting, and onsite interpreting for consumers.
• Support and model the company's mission and values.
• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a respectful and professional attitude with customers and colleagues.
• Be punctual and prepared for shifts, and interact professionally with colleagues and supervisors, with timely record keeping.
• Adhere to all policies and FCC regulations.
• Demonstrate ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and multi-task with video-based interpreting.
• Participate in trainings for Professional Development.
• Meet performance expectations with minimal supervision.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Travel independently when required, with access to a vehicle and valid license.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills in all settings.
