Job summary

Purple Communications, Inc. is seeking a full-time Sign Language Interpreter to deliver high-quality interpreting through video in a call center and on-site at customer locations. The interpreter must be fluent in American Sign Language and spoken English and follow NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct.

Responsibilities include providing video relay service, video remote interpreting, and on-site interpreting; supporting our mission and delivering excellent customer service; traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• Fluent ASL and spoken English required.
• Accurate interpretation skills.
• Thorough knowledge of NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct.
• State licensure or state-required credentials, if applicable.
• 3–5 years interpreting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective video relay service, video remote interpreting, and onsite interpreting for consumers.
• Support and model the company mission and values.
• Deliver excellent customer service with a professional attitude.
• Maintain punctuality and preparedness for shifts; accurate record keeping.
