Job summary

Purple Communications, Inc. is seeking a full-time Sign Language Interpreter to provide high-quality interpretation via video, in a call center, and on-site at various customer locations as needed.

Fluency in American Sign Language and spoken English is required, with strict adherence to NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct. Candidates should have 3–5 years of interpreting experience if possible, and may require state licensure or credentials.

Qualifications

• Fluent ASL and spoken English language skills.
• Good understanding of Deaf culture.
• Adherence to NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct.
• Three to five years of interpreting experience (preferred).
• State licensure or credentials as applicable.
• Must be 18 years or older to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality video relay service, video remote interpreting, and onsite interpreting.
• Deliver excellent customer service with a professional attitude.
• Maintain punctuality and preparedness for shifts; accurate record-keeping.
