Job summary

Soliant Health is seeking a dedicated Sign Language Interpreter for a school-based contract near Hilton Head Island, SC for the 2026-27 school year. This role supports deaf and hard-of-hearing students by ensuring accurate communication across classrooms and conferences.

The position is full-time (37.5 hours per week) on a W-2 contract from August 3, 2026, to May 28, 2027. Responsibilities include interpreting for parent conferences, IEP meetings, tests, and lessons, with EIPA score requirements

Qualifications

• Hold a minimum score of 3.5 on the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA).
• Proficiency in American Sign Language interpretation for children and adolescents in educational settings.

Responsibilities

• Translate for a deaf and hard-of-hearing student utilizing spoken English and ASL in school settings.
• Interpret parent conferences, IEP meetings, tests, classroom lessons and other school functions.
