Springfield Public Schools, including Kiley Prep Middle School, seeks a School Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive nursing care and health services to students. The role supports student wellbeing, safety, and academic success through direct care, screenings, and collaboration with families and staff.

The nurse will manage health records, coordinate with hospitals and community agencies, and implement individual health plans while adhering to HIPAA and FERPA regulations.

Qualifications

• Current valid RN license to practice in Massachusetts.
• 1–2 years of child health or related field experience; 3 years in school nursing preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• DOE certification eligibility in educator category, Nurse, All Levels (BSN required for eligibility).

Responsabilités

• Provide direct and indirect nursing care to students to promote health and well-being.
• Maintain and document health records in compliance with HIPAA/FERPA.
• Coordinate health resources with school, family, and community partners.
• Develop and implement individual health care plans and plans of care with students and families.
• Provide emergency care and administer medications with physician/parent consent.
