Job summary

Qualifications

• Massachusetts RN license required.
• 1–2 years in child health or related field; 3 years in school nursing preferred.
• CPR certification required.
• DOE certification eligibility in educator category (Nurse) with BSN minimum.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate students’ health and family history; counsel students, parents and staff.
• Maintain health records and evaluate school health programs.
• Coordinate health resources with home, community and hospitals.
• Develop individual health care plans and coordinate with providers and staff.
• Provide emergency care and administer prescribed medications as consented.
