Springfield Empowerment Zone Partnership seeks a School Nurse (RN) to provide direct and indirect nursing care to students, promoting wellbeing and academic success. The nurse will assess health needs, maintain records, and coordinate with families, school staff, and community health partners.

Responsibilities include emergency care, medication administration with guardian consent, required screenings, and care plan development.

Qualifications

• Must hold MA RN license or be eligible for licensure in Massachusetts.
• Three years of school nursing experience preferred; 1–2 years in child health/community health acceptable.
• CPR certification required.
• DOE certification eligibility with BSN required for educator category.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct and indirect nursing care to students to support wellbeing and academic success.
• Maintain health records and coordinate health services with families, school staff, and community partners.
• Deliver emergency nursing care and administer prescribed medications with guardian/physician consent.
• Perform mandated screenings (vision, hearing, scoliosis; height/weight as required).
• Develop and implement individual health care plans and coordinate with other providers.
