Senior Helpers – Greater Richmond is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to conduct in-home assessments and visits for potential clients, while assisting with administrative tasks. The role emphasizes accurate documentation using computer systems and collaboration with healthcare providers.

The RN will work in Richmond, VA and surrounding areas, with a full-time schedule and mileage/travel time considerations, offering a meaningful opportunity to support seniors in the community.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license.
• 3+ years nursing experience.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
• Proficient with computers and internet applications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-home RN assessments in Richmond, VA and surrounding areas.
• Visit prospective clients to assess eligibility for services.
• Maintain accurate documentation using computer systems.
• Monitor changes in client condition and report findings.
• Develop individualized care plans for assigned clients.
• Supervise and evaluate staff performance as needed.

Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-home RN assessments on clients in Richmond, VA and surrounding areas
• Conduct potential prospective visits to assess a client’s eligibility for services.
• Maintain accurate and organized documentation using our computer systems (must be tech-savvy).
• Monitor for changes in client's condition and report and document relevant information
• Assist with the development of an individualized plan of care for each assigned client
• Supervise and evaluate performance of staff and intervene when appropriate
• Oversee assigned care levels, services and performance improvement activities
• Provide recommendations and education to clients and family members on disease process, treatments, medications, and nutrition
• Communicate and collaborate with healthcare providers and other professionals
• Ensure cases are managed within defined productivity standards
• Participate in quality assurance activities, such as client conferences, caregiver and care plan reviews

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in Virginia
• A valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle are required for this position
• 3+ years of professional nursing experience (Experience in home health, senior care, or a related field is a plus!)
• Proficiency in the use of computers, internet applications, and software
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
• Can work or visit homes that have pets (both Cats & Dogs)
