Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to maintain a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers, operate the cash register, stock merchandise, and support the Store Manager in daily operations.

In this role you may lead in the absence of management, open/close the store, follow planograms, and ensure profitability and asset protection while delivering friendly service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred.
• Ability to read and follow planograms and merchandise guides.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and operate the cash register.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership and assist customers.
• Operate cash register, total purchases, collect payment and make change.
• Stock, restock, and rotate merchandise; build displays.
• Maintain store cleanliness and assist with sidewalk displays.
• Open and close the store under supervision; support in manager absence.
