The role focuses on accurate dispensing, patient information updates, and collaboration with the Pharmacist and Pharmacy Manager to ensure smooth pharmacy operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• Previous retail pharmacy experience preferred.
• Indiana Board of Pharmacy registration required by hire or on date of hire.
• National Pharmacy Tech Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fill and dispense community prescriptions, including computer order entry, updating patient information, labeling, and completing point-of-sale transactions.
• Deliver medications to discharging patients per Pharmacist requests.
• Assist with prescription refills outreach under direct pharmacist supervision and home delivery scheduling.
• Assist in inventory management: order review, returns, restocking, and physical inventory prep.
• Perform simple nonsterile compounding per USP guidelines under pharmacist supervision.
• Assist in training new staff when assigned.
• Escalate problems or patient complaints to Pharmacist when unresolved.
• Attend and contribute to department meetings and committees.
