Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Community Pharmacy Technician role based in New Albany, IN. The Community Pharmacy Technician supports pharmacists in dispensing medications by processing prescriptions, entering and verifying patient and insurance information, and preparing medications for final pharmacist check. The role includes assisting patients at the pharmacy counter, answering phone inquiries, and providing clear, respectful communication about medication pick-up, refills, and basic pharmacy procedures. Daily responsibilities also involve managing inventory, stocking and rotating medications, checking for expired products, and maintaining accurate records. The technician helps ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards, follows established protocols, and contributes to a clean, organized, and efficient pharmacy environment. Collaboration with pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare team members is essential to support safe, timely, and patient-centered medication services.
