Civita Care Center at Cheshire in Cheshire, CT is hiring a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). You will support residents' mobility and function in a skilled nursing setting under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.

Qualifications

• Active PTA license in good standing.
• Experience in skilled nursing preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver physical therapy treatments under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, transfer training, and mobility interventions.
• Support individualized treatment plans focused on improving safety and functional independence.
• Monitor resident participation and communicate progress to the supervising PT.
• Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary team members to support resident care.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation.
