Job summary

Everleap Fertility in Basking Ridge, NJ seeks a full-time Phlebotomist to draw blood for laboratory procedures. The role requires performing venipuncture, labeling and handling specimens, and ensuring patient comfort while maintaining OSHA standards.

Weekend rotation is required; hours are 7:30am–3:30pm, Monday through Friday with occasional evenings. The ideal candidate will have a Phlebotomy Program certification (highly preferred) and at least 3 years of recent venipuncture experience in

• 3+ years' recent venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Weekend, holiday, and occasional evening work required.
• Completion of a Phlebotomy Program is highly preferred.
• Proficiency with EMR and MS Office is required.

Responsibilities

• Properly identifies patients.
• Performs and explains the venipuncture process and specimen collection.
• Conducts blood draws, labeling specimens, and centrifuging where applicable.
• Stores and transports specimens to preserve integrity according to procedures.
• Maintains a clean, stocked phlebotomy area and reassures patients.

Salary Range: $20.00 To $24.00 Hourly

Everleap Fertility has an opportunity for a Full-Time Phlebotomist working Monday-Friday from 7:30am-3:30pm with weekend rotation in our Basking Ridge, NJ office.

This individual will draw blood from patients for laboratory procedures used in the diagnosis and treatment of infertility. The Phlebotomist maintains a cooperative relationship with clinical staff and helps to create a positive experience for our patients.

Essential Functions and Accountabilities:

• Properly identifies patients.
• Performs and explains the process of the venipuncture and/or other specimen collection as required.
• Conducts blood draws, labeling specimens, and centrifuging specimens.
• To store and transport specimen samples according to the different procedures to maintain integrity of the specimen.
• Understands and complies with OSHA and DEP regulations.
• Maintains clean and stocked phlebotomy Area.
• Reassures patients and provide comfort to ease anxieties.

Academic Training:

• Completion of a Phlebotomy Program– highly preferred (required in CA, WA, TX).
• Studies level: Certification
• Studies area: Phlebotomy Program

Position Requirements/Experience:

• 3+ years' recent work performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting - required
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Word, and Outlook - required
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience - required
