Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is hiring for a full-time Patient Dining Associate (Dietary Aide) at Piedmont Columbus Midtown, Columbus, GA. The shift runs 6:30 am to 6:30 pm, with days varying. Candidates need at least 1 year of food service or customer service experience. Base pay is $15.00 per hour.

The role supports patient nutrition, menu coordination with nursing, and food safety compliance. Morrison emphasizes care, belonging, and service excellence across all meals served.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, as well as maneuver and push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders meet nutritional requirements.
• Determine menu alternatives for patients with allergies, sensitivities, or cultural/religious preferences.
• Assemble meals according to each patient's menu selection and retrieve trays at assigned times.
• Follow HACCP guidelines and maintain sanitation standards in the tray line.
• Assist dietitians with patients on special diets and monitor dietary needs.
• Communicate problems or concerns to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
• Complete daily, weekly or monthly reports as outlined in Morrison Healthcare policies.
• Comply with HIPAA and health/sanitation regulations.
