Job summary

Holland Hospital is seeking a competent Nursing Assistant under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to assist with direct patient care and clerical duties. You will document patient data, perform basic clinical skills, and support daily living activities for patients in a busy healthcare setting.

Preferred candidates hold a CNA certification and have prior patient care experience, with knowledge of medical terminology.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or proof of higher education.
• BLS for the Healthcare Provider by 60 days after hire required.
• CNA preferred.
• Previous patient care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Computer literate preferred.
• Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the delivery of direct patient care under supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Documents patient care activities and data accurately.
• Performs clinical skills such as vital signs, simple respiratory therapy, ostomy and other tasks.
• Performs activities of daily living support (bathing, feeding, grooming).
• Completes assigned duties within the RN's time frame.
• Gathers and reports patient data and changes in condition.
• Assists with admission, transfer, or discharge of patients.
• Observes patients and reports changes promptly.
