Job summary

Holland Hospital is hiring a nursing support associate to assist with patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role requires completing assigned tasks, documenting patient data, and participating in unit activities in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and BLS within 60 days. CNA preferred; bilingual English/Spanish a plus. Work involves 72 hours per two weeks across three shifts, including every third weekend.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or higher education proof required; BLS for Healthcare Provider within 60 days after hire.
• Preferred bilingual (English & Spanish) skills noted.
• Previous patient care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and computer literacy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the delivery of direct patient care under supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Documents patient care activities and data using documentation forms or information systems.
• Performs clinical skills such as vital signs, aseptic technique, specimen collection, basic therapies, ostomy and post mortem care.
• Performs ADL tasks including bathing, feeding, grooming and oral care.
• Completes assigned duties within the time frame established by the RN.
• Gathers data such as intake/output, vitals, height/weight, and point-of-care results.
