Responsibilities

  • Designing the content of seminars, conferences, and related publications in collaboration with the project lead and other team members.
  • Managing all event logistics for seminars, workshops, and conferences, including speaker invitations, transportation, and accommodation.
  • Providing general clerical support including daily correspondence, invoices and payments, documents and filing, and sharing reports/materials with stakeholders.
  • Assisting in administrative work and preparing project reports.
  • Performing ad hoc duties or other tasks as assigned.

The Centre for Global Family Business endeavours to be the leading research, education, and practice platform for families-in‑business and their advisors in the Asia‑Pacific region. The Centre recognises the importance of this multi-disciplinary field of family business in the Asian context and is instrumental in offering full-spectrum support to this emerging field.

  • designing the content of seminars, conferences, and related publications in collaboration with the project lead and other team members
  • managing all event logistics for various seminars, workshops, and conferences, including co‑ordinating speaker invitations, transportation, and accommodation
  • providing general clerical support, including handling daily correspondence, invoices and payments, documents and filing, as well as compiling feedback and sharing necessary reports/materials with stakeholders
  • assisting in administrative work and preparing project reports
  • performing ad hoc duties or other tasks as assigned

Working beyond normal office hours will be required.

  • a Bachelor’s degree
  • at least 5 years’ post‑qualification work experience in accounting, administration, project co‑ordination, event administration, or related fields, preferably gained in a sizeable NGO or charitable foundation
  • a social mindset and a strong sense of responsibility
  • a detail‑oriented, goal‑oriented, result‑driven, innovative, and energetic work attitude
  • good communication and multi‑tasking skills, with the ability to work independently and as a team member
  • proficiency in computer applications, such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Canva
  • Prior experience with government‑funded projects and familiarity with related reporting compliance procedures and requirements will be advantageous

Appointment will initially be made on a 6-month contract commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
