Job summary

The Center for Outpatient Medicine is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the operating room team. The RN will provide perioperative nursing care on 10-hour shifts in a busy ambulatory surgery center.

Open Monday–Thursday with weekends and holidays closed. Illinois license, CPR/ACLS/PALS as required, and strong communication skills are essential to ensure patient safety and compliance with AAAHC, HIPAA and IDPH standards.

Qualifications

• Licensed Illinois RN (Registered Professional Nurse)
• Operating room experience in ambulatory surgery center or hospital preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the operating room of an ambulatory surgery center.
• Work 10-hour shifts with full-time, part-time, PRN, or flexible scheduling.
• Adhere to AAAHC, HIPAA and IDPH requirements. Open Mon–Thu; weekends/holidays may be closed.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Registered Professional Nurse in the State of Illinois
• Previous experience in as an operating room nurse at an Ambulatory Surgery Center or hospital preferred.
• Posses good oral and written communication skills
• Possesses sound decision making / problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Successful completion of CPR and ACLS and PALS certification if required
