Endeavor Health in Chicago, IL, is seeking an RN in the Operating Room for a full-time position. Typical shifts are 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with call requirements, including nights, weekends and holidays.

The role offers a sign-on bonus and a competitive hourly pay range based on expertise and experience. Two or more years of OR nursing experience, Illinois licensure, and CPR are required. ACLS/PALS/NRP may be needed within six months depending on unit needs.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of nursing experience preferred.
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Demonstrates mastery of nursing skills.
• Communicates effectively and is able to guide and supervise nursing personnel.
• Current Illinois Nursing licensure.
• American Heart Association CPR Certification.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP may be required within six months depending on unit requirements.

• Observes, checks and enforces strict standards of asepsis.
• Observes, checks and monitors all equipment used during surgery to confirm that items are functioning properly.
• Document intra operative in Epic.
• Conducts appropriate surgical counts.
• Selects and handles instruments and supplies used for the operation, passing them to the surgeon.
