Job summary

Jovie is seeking a back-up nanny to care for children in-home on an on-call basis, with a flexible schedule that fits around school or family commitments.

You will care for children from infants to toddlers, engaging them with safety-focused, hands-on activities while keeping household duties to a minimum. Availability on 3+ weekdays for 6–8 hour shifts between 7 am and 7 pm is required.

• Infant experience mandatory.

Responsibilities

As a Back-up Nanny, You Will

• Care for children in-home, but you will not be required to transport children
• No household duties other than common sense clean-up of your activities or meals with the child
• Support families who need care for children ranging from infants through toddlers. Highest demand for care for children under the age of 2!
• Engage children by providing safety and leading hands-on activities based on your observations of the children’s age-appropriate development

We Provide

• Pay: $18 per hour - $21.50 per hour per hour
• Receive paid training and a nanny kit filled with age-appropriate activities and games that you will bring to childcare assignments

About You

• At least 18 years old
• Experience working with children, paid or unpaid, infant experience mandatory
• Reliable transportation
• Your willingness and ability to travel to various homes throughout the area
• You are available any 3 or more weekdays for 6 - 8 hour shifts between 7 am and 7 pm
• Commitment to be communicative and responsive to the staffing supervisor and a bright smile to greet each family!
