Job summary

Jovie in San Francisco is seeking caring individuals for back-up nanny roles on an on-call basis. You will care for children in-home with no transporting duties, and you can fit this around school or another job.

We offer pay between $24 and $26.50 per hour, paid training, a nanny kit, and opportunities for advancement. You’ll receive paid sick time, medical stipend, vacation time, and potential retirement matching; legal W-2 employment with unemployment insurance.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, paid or unpaid, infant experience mandatory.
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel to multiple homes.
• Available 3+ weekdays for 6–8 hour shifts between 7am and 7pm.

Responsibilities

• Care for children in-home, but you will not be required to transport children.
• No household duties other than common sense clean-up of your activities or meals with the child.
• Support families who need care for children ranging from infants through toddlers.
• Engage children with safety and leading hands-on activities based on age-appropriate development.

As a Back-up Nanny, You Will

• Care for children in-home, but you will not be required to transport children
• No household duties other than common sense clean-up of your activities or meals with the child
• Support families who need care for children ranging from infants through toddlers. Highest demand for care for children under the age of 2!
• Engage children by providing safety and leading hands-on activities based on your observations of the children’s age-appropriate development

We Provide

About You

• At least 18 years old
• Experience working with children, paid or unpaid, infant experience mandatory
• Reliable transportation
• Your willingness and ability to travel to various homes throughout the area
• You are available any 3 or more weekdays for 6 - 8 hour shifts between 7 am and 7 pm
• Commitment to be communicative and responsive to the staffing supervisor and a bright smile to greet each family!
