Job summary

Jovie is seeking an on-call nanny to join our supportive team in the Foster City area. You’ll care for children in-home and work around families’ schedules on a flexible basis, with no required transport of children or household duties beyond basic clean-up after activities.

The role emphasizes reliability, infant experience, and the ability to travel between homes within the area. Compensation ranges from $24 to $26.50 per hour, with paid training and chances to advance in the childcare field.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• Experience working with children, paid or unpaid, infant experience mandatory.
• Reliable transportation.
• Your willingness and ability to travel to various homes throughout the area.
• You are available any 3 or more weekdays for 6 - 8 hour shifts between 7 am and 7 pm.
• Commitment to be communicative and responsive to the staffing supervisor and a bright smile to greet each family!

Responsibilities

• Care for children in-home, but you will not be required to transport children
• No household duties other than common sense clean-up of your activities or meals with the child
• Support families who need care for children ranging from infants through toddlers. Highest demand for care for children under the age of 2!
• Engage children by providing safety and leading hands-on activities based on your observations of the children’s age-appropriate development

As a Back-up Nanny, You Will
