Job summary

Jovie in California is seeking an on-call backup nanny to work around your flexible schedule. You will care for children in their homes and join a supportive team.

This role offers pay between $18 and $21.50 per hour, paid training, and opportunities to advance in the childcare field. Must be 18+, have child experience, reliable travel, and weekday availability.

Qualifications

• Age 18 or older and eligible to work in the U.S.
• Experience with children (paid or unpaid), infant experience mandatory
• Reliable transportation
• Willing to travel to various homes in the area
• Available 3+ weekdays for 6–8 hour shifts between 7 am and 7 pm
• Bright, communicative and responsive to staffing supervisor

Responsibilities

• Care for children in-home, but you will not be required to transport children
• No household duties other than common sense clean-up of your activities or meals with the child
• Support families who need care for children ranging from infants through toddlers. Highest demand for care for children under the age of 2!
• Engage children by providing safety and leading hands-on activities based on your observations of the children’s age-appropriate development

As a Back-up Nanny, You Will

• Care for children in-home, but you will not be required to transport children

We Provide

About You

• At least 18 years old
• Experience working with children, paid or unpaid, infant experience mandatory
• Reliable transportation
• Your willingness and ability to travel to various homes throughout the area
• You are available any 3 or more weekdays for 6 - 8 hour shifts between 7 am and 7 pm
