Job summary

Jovie is seeking a back-up nanny to care for children in-home on an on-call basis, with a flexible schedule around families. The role emphasizes safe, age-appropriate activities and no required household duties beyond routine cleanup of meals and play activities.

Ideal candidates are 18+, have childcare experience (infant experience preferred), reliable transportation, and are willing to travel to multiple homes within the area for 3+ weekdays of 6–8 hour shifts between 7 am and 7 pm.

As a Back-up Nanny, You Will

• Care for children in-home, but you will not be required to transport children


• No household duties other than common sense clean-up of your activities or meals with the child


• Support families who need care for children ranging from infants through toddlers. Highest demand for care for children under the age of 2!


• Engage children by providing safety and leading hands-on activities based on your observations of the children’s age-appropriate development

We Provide

• Pay: $20 per hour - $22.25 per hour per hour


• Receive paid training and a nanny kit filled with age-appropriate activities and games that you will bring to childcare assignments

About You

• At least 18 years old


• Experience working with children, paid or unpaid, infant experience mandatory


• Reliable transportation


• Your willingness and ability to travel to various homes throughout the area


• You are available any 3 or more weekdays for 6 - 8 hour shifts between 7 am and 7 pm
