Responsibilities include frame selection, lens recommendations, measurements, billing, and maintaining patient records with precision. Strong customer service, communication, and multitasking abilities are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• One to two years of experience in related field.
• Applicable State licensure or certification by a nationally recognized optician association as an optician.
• Working knowledge of MS Office package.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective verbal communication skills to prioritize tasks and handle inquiries.
• Effective written communication skills to document customer situations clearly.
• Excellent interpersonal and rapport-building skills.
• Ability to ask appropriate questions to identify customer needs.
• Proven problem-solving, negotiating, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to use discretion and judgment in applying guidelines.
• Ability to listen, process transactions and interact with customers simultaneously.
• For remote/hybrid roles, demonstrate high engagement in virtual environments including camera presence.

Responsibilities

• Determine reason for visit, identify lifestyle needs, and recommend eyewear per prescription.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to attract and retain customers.
• Assist customers in frame selection and coordinate with measurements and prescriptions.
• Recommend lenses, coatings, and frames to suit needs and occupations.
• Take measurements, assist with adjustments, and dispense eyewear.
• Ensure correct pricing and delivery quotes to patients.
• Maintain enthusiastic, concise communication with patients and team.
• Clean and merchandise displays daily with effective merchandise.
• Assist with insurance billing and processing orders.
• Document patient communications in practice software.
• Work on special projects and other duties as assigned.
