Bengal Transportation Services, Inc. is seeking an organized Accounting Assistant to support the accounting team in Geismar, Louisiana. This on-site role focuses on invoice entry, document organization, spreadsheet updates, and routine account follow-up under the Accounting Manager.

The ideal candidate enjoys numbers, maintains accurate records, and communicates clearly when information is unclear. Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with compensation of $20.00–$22.00 per hour based on experience.

Qualifications

• Accurate typing and data-entry skills; comfortable with numbers.
• Proficient in Excel, email, and basic office software for data handling.
• Strong organization; able to follow procedures and meet deadlines.
• Professional communication; discretion with confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Receive, organize, scan, and file invoices and other accounting documents.
• Enter invoice and transaction information into the accounting system under supervision.
• Check documents for completeness and accuracy; flag discrepancies.
• Match invoices with purchase orders/receipts and route missing information.
• Update spreadsheets and vendor records with accurate data.
