Job summary

San Joaquin Nursing and Rehabilitation seeks a full-time Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat residents, collaborate with families and the interdisciplinary team, and maintain accurate documentation. The OT may conduct in-services for staff and participate in care planning and discharge activities.

Qualified candidates will have a CA OT license, strong assessment and treatment planning skills, and experience with EMR systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy is required.
• Master’s or Doctorate in OT is preferred.
• New graduates welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents within 24 hours (or one business day) of referral.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and obtain physician approval.
• Provide skilled OT services per physician orders.
• Supervise COTAs, therapy aides, and students according to state acts.
• Document evaluations and progress in the medical record.
