Job summary

National Church Residences is seeking a Non-Certified Nurse Assistant for full-time night shift (7pm-7am), Monday through Friday and alternating weekends, in Columbus, Ohio. You will provide direct care, assist with activities of daily living, and support residents to maintain independence according to facility policies.

Under supervision of the Charge Nurse, you will document care, monitor vitals, assist with meals, hygiene, mobility, and report changes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred or currently enrolled in a program to achieve preferred education.
• Two to four years preferred experience in caregiving.
• Must have good communication, comprehension, and interpersonal skills and the ability to speak, read, write and understand English.
• Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and World Wide Web.

Responsibilities

• Performs/assists with direct care needs and activities of daily living including lifting, turning, positioning, bathing, dressing, and mobility.
• Maintains room cleanliness, provides restorative nursing programs, and supports activities of interest for residents.
• Communicates effectively, reports changes in residents' conditions, and documents accurately.
• Assists with vitals, weights, admissions, and supports training of new staff as assigned.
• Adheres to Resident Rights, confidentiality, safety, HIPAA, and facility policies.
