Kitchen Guard Services is one of the largest kitchen exhaust and deep cleaning providers in California.
Schedule
40 - 45 hours a week. (This is a full time job, do not apply if you plan on working this job as a second job)
Standard Hours: Split shift 7:00 p.m. - midnight and 7 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.: Sunday evening - Friday morning
Serves as backup night technician when a night shift cleaning tech cannot report to work at night or there is a big job that needs an extra hand.. If this happens, a full night shift will be worked.
Overtime is paid as time and a half.
Primary Responsibilities:
Manage and monitor activities of all employees in the overnight department making sure they adhere to the standards of excellence and to the guidelines outlined in the employee handbook, as well as enforcing policies and procedures, coaching, training, and correcting where needed.
Prepare inventory needs for routes before night technicians arrive to have an efficient check in and route deployment process i.e. prepare cleaning solution bottles, ensure van and pressure washers have fuel
Check in cleaning crews returning from night work and perform quality control of work performed.
Prepare Post Job Service reports for customers based on pictures taken by the night technicians
Be on call during the night (company iphone provided) to handle any calls from field techs that are experiencing issus
Direct and oversee all operations during the night shift to ensure customer satisfaction and safety.
Assist in Conducting Briefings for all staff before Night Shift.
Maintain a professional and high-quality service-oriented environment at all times.
Schedule and manage the night shift route, ensuring all employees perform the tasks assigned to them and coordinate with other departments as needed.
Assist overnight crew with exhaust cleaning (power washing, scraping, wiping down equipment, vacuuming, climbing ladders, hinging fans, covering kitchen equipment in plastic, etc. as needed
Must actively participate in decision-making processes when issues arise to ensure seamless service.
Monitor and develop team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision, scheduling, assigning nightly work, conducting training, conducting counseling and evaluations, and delivering recognition and reward.
Should show initiative, problem-solving ability, staff training, and team-leading skills
Be aware and able to enforce all safety policies and procedures.
Remain current in all updates about new procedures and training.
Any other duties as assigned or required
Qualifications
Minimum 1 years of management
Hood Cleaning experience (not required but you must be willing to learn and perform hood cleaning as part of this job)
Proven experience with power tools to perform minor repairs of equipment
Computer skills- word, excel, internet, other computer applications
Organization skills and time management skills
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication
Previous experience working nights a plus
Physical Requirements:
Be physically able to climb ladders to gain rooftop access to commercial establishments.
Ability to squat, lift, and carry 50 lbs., a minimum of 100 feet.
Able to stand for 10 hours at a time.
Have excellent attention to detail and work fast and efficiently.
