Kitchen Guard Services started in 2009 as a cold water, kitchen, and bar cleaning service. Kitchen Guard Services is one of the largest kitchen exhaust and deep cleaning providers in California.
Schedule
- 40 - 45 hours a week. (This is a full-time job, do not apply if you plan on working this job as a second job)
- Standard Hours: Split shift 7:00 p.m. - midnight and 7 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.: Sunday evening - Friday morning
- Serves as backup night technician when a night shift cleaning tech cannot report to work at night or there is a big job that needs an extra hand. If this happens, a full night shift will be worked.
- Overtime is paid as time and a half.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor activities of all employees in the overnight department, ensuring adherence to standards of excellence, policies, and procedures. Provide coaching, training, and correction where needed.
- Prepare inventory needs for routes before night technicians arrive to ensure efficient check-in and route deployment, including preparing cleaning solutions and ensuring fuel for vehicles.
- Check in cleaning crews returning from night work and perform quality control of work performed.
- Prepare Post Job Service reports for customers based on pictures taken by night technicians.
- Be on call during the night (company iPhone provided) to handle any calls from field techs experiencing issues.
- Direct and oversee all operations during the night shift to ensure customer satisfaction and safety.
- Assist in conducting briefings for all staff before the night shift.
- Maintain a professional, high-quality, service-oriented environment at all times.
- Schedule and manage the night shift route, ensuring all employees perform assigned tasks and coordinate with other departments as needed.
- Assist overnight crew with exhaust cleaning tasks as needed.
- Participate in decision-making processes to ensure seamless service.
- Monitor and develop team member performance, including supervision, scheduling, training, counseling, evaluations, and recognition.
- Show initiative, problem-solving skills, staff training, and team leadership.
- Enforce all safety policies and procedures.
- Stay current with updates on procedures and training.
- Perform any other duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of management experience.
- Hood cleaning experience (not required but willing to learn and perform hood cleaning).
- Proven experience with power tools for minor repairs.
- Computer skills: Word, Excel, internet, and other applications.
- Strong organization and time management skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Previous night work experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to climb ladders to access rooftops.
- Ability to squat, lift, and carry 50 lbs. for at least 100 feet.
- Ability to stand for 10 hours.
- Attention to detail and efficiency in work.
