Job summary

Atria Senior Living is seeking a Full Time Maintenance Technician to support our community operations. Your role spans painting, plumbing, electrical work, HVAC, carpentry and general maintenance to keep the property up to standards.

You will handle work orders, conduct inspections, operate tools safely, and coordinate with contractors while possibly driving a company vehicle. A valid license and basic computer use are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years hands-on maintenance experience in areas such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, etc. required.
• 3 years of multi-family property management or other building maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic skills, including measurement for calculations, estimating, and determining averages.
• Demonstrated ability to use independent judgment and discretion to meet company goals.
• Experience in safe handling and use of tools used in construction, maintenance, and landscaping.
• Basic computer skills and ability to operate standard office equipment.
• Must possess valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing move-in ready apartments (painting, carpet cleaning, general repairs, housekeeping).
• Manage all maintenance needs to ensure the community meets or exceeds standards.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete data collection/submission.
• Manage all customer service requests using the work order system and prioritize requests.
• Complete daily community inspections and keep grounds and common areas clean.
• Perform maintenance functions such as electrical installations, pool maintenance, carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, painting, etc.
• Monitor mechanical equipment (fire safety systems, water heaters, HVAC units, kitchen equipment).
• Partner with contractors/subcontractors as required.
• Organize maintenance storage and mechanical rooms.
• Ensure proper use and care of tools, equipment, and vehicles.
• Ensure compliance with all laws.
• May drive company or personal vehicle as required.
• Act as manager on duty as required.
• May perform other duties as needed.
