Job summary

Boxcar Coffee Roasters in Boulder, CO is seeking a Production Baker to prepare and finish pastries for both cafés each morning, including croissants, brioche, cookies, canelé, and more. You will mix doughs, lamination, fillings, and bake to our recipes and quality standards.

This full-time role requires early shifts around 4:30 AM, weekend flexibility, and teamwork with the cafe staff. Benefits include health insurance options, PTO, sick pay, a free weekly coffee bag, and complimentary drinks.

Qualifications

• Experience with laminated pastries preferred.
• Must be able to work early mornings starting as early as 4:30 AM.
• Full-time role with 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week, DOE.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a positive work environment
• Bakery AM production (bake & finish all pastries for both locations)
• Baking and finishing bread for sandwiches
• Mixing doughs, making fillings, etc., and adhere to all recipes & standards
• Laminating doughs & shaping croissants
• Ensure the proper storage of all ingredients & equipment
• Follow food safety regulations
• Check in and receive orders
