Boxcar Coffee Roasters in Boulder, CO is seeking a FT/PT Line Cook to join a busy kitchen producing bread, jams, and signature toasts. You will prep, bake, roast, and assemble items, working with FOH and kitchen staff to deliver consistent, high-quality offerings.

The role emphasizes versatility, teamwork, and a willingness to learn new techniques, with shifts that can be full-time or part-time. Weekend availability is preferred and some delivery tasks may be involved.

Qualifications

• Prep food according to recipes using a variety of equipment
• Complete trainings for knife safety and operations
• Multitask between prep and fulfilling orders
• Assemble meals to order and portion ingredients
• Batch produce ready-to-eat items and bread production
• Weigh portions precisely and maintain food safety standards
• Cross-train on register to support FOH during busy times
• Demonstrate strong communication and professional demeanor with guests and teammates

Responsibilities

• Prep according to recipes and multiply yields as needed
• Batch bake loaves and produce daily sandwich bread
• Assemble meals to order and plate to standard
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the kitchen
• Receive and store food and supplies from vendors
• Cross-train on register to assist FOH during peak times
• Communicate prep needs clearly for next-day production
• Report issues with food or equipment to management
