Job summary

Boxcar Coffee Roasters is seeking a Production Baker (full-time) to bake and finish pastries for both Pearl St Café locations each morning, including croissants, canelés, cookies, and laminated items. You will also bake bread for sandwiches and handle daily prep, ensuring recipes and standards are met.

Shifts start as early as 4:30AM with 8-hour days, five days per week. DOE compensation applies; laminated pastry experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in a bakery environment preferred.
• Ability to manage time and meet daily production goals.
• Adherence to food safety standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a positive work environment.
• Bakery AM production (bake & finish all pastries for both locations).
• Baking and finishing bread for sandwiches.
• Mixing doughs, making fillings, etc., and adhere to recipes & standards.
• Laminating doughs & shaping croissants.
• Ensure proper storage of all ingredients & equipment.
• Follow food safety regulations.
• Check in and receive orders.
