Job summary

IDEA Public Schools is seeking a College Prep Teacher to ensure students master academics and social skills, aligned to IDEA values. The role starts at $63,500 with additional stipends based on certifications and campus leadership, plus opportunities for after-school pay and performance-based compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree is required; teaching certification is strongly preferred.
• Experience in a K-12 classroom setting is strongly preferred.
• State certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments to meet ambitious academic expectations.
• Learn, master, and deliver content and grade level curriculum, core content objectives, and texts.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Implement formal and informal assessments to track each student’s progress and adjust plans weekly.
• Communicate students’ progress with students and families weekly.
• Host tutoring sessions to meet students’ needs.
• Participate in weekly manager check-ins and school-wide meetings.
