Job summary

CareSpot Urgent Care is hiring a Medical Assistant to support providers during exams, administer procedures, and manage patient flow at Fleming Island. You will triage patients, take vitals, collect specimens, and assist with immunizations in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

Requirements include completion of a Medical Assistant program or CMA/RMA certification; CNA with phlebotomy experience is acceptable. BLS and AHCA Level II background clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Mandatory MA program completion or equivalent credential.
• CMA or RMA certification preferred; alternative CNA with phlebotomy experience acceptable.
• BLS certification required; ability to pass AHCA Level II background clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with exams, procedures and patient care.
• Triaging patients, measuring vitals, and documenting chart information.
• Perform phlebotomy, blood draws and specimen collection as directed.
• Administer medications and immunizations under supervision.
• Prepare treatment rooms and assist with patient movement.
• Check in/out, verify insurance and collect payments.
