Job summary

CareSpot Urgent Care is hiring a Medical Assistant in St. Augustine to support providers with exams, procedures, and patient care.

You will triage patients, take vitals, draw blood, collect specimens, administer vaccines, prepare rooms, and assist with check-in/out and insurance verification. The ideal candidate will have a Medical Assistant program or MA designation, or EMT/Paramedic, or CMA/RMA certification, or 6 months of relevant experience, or CNA with phlebotomy.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a Medical Assistant, EMT, Paramedic, or other relevant program, OR active RMA/CMA designation, OR 6 months of experience in a relevant environment, OR licensed CNA with phlebotomy experience.
• Certification: BLS.
• Ability to pass Level II background screening AHCA.

Responsibilities

• Triaging patients, measuring vitals, and recording information on patients' charts
• Blood draws, venipuncture, specimen collection, and completion of lab work
• Administering medications and immunizations under provider direction
• Setting up procedures as instructed by provider
• Preparing treatment rooms for examinations and bringing patients from the waiting room to exam rooms
• Checking patients in and out; verifying insurance; collecting payments
