CareSpot Urgent Care in Jacksonville, FL is hiring a Medical Assistant to support providers during exams, procedures, and daily workflows.

The role covers triaging patients, taking vitals, drawing blood, administering immunizations, and preparing rooms. Registration, insurance verification, and payments are part of the workflow. Qualifications include MA/EMT/CMA/RMA or CNA with phlebotomy, or 6 months of relevant experience; healthcare setting preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Medical Assistant, EMT, Paramedic, or other relevant program; or active RMA/CMA designation; or 6 months MA experience; or licensed CNA with phlebotomy experience.
• Preference for prior healthcare setting experience (ER/urgent care/ambulatory clinic).
• BLS certification is a plus (from a later list in requirements).

Responsibilities

• Triaging patients, measuring vitals, and recording information on patients’ charts
• Blood draws, venipuncture, specimen collection, and completion of lab work
• Administering medications and immunizations under provider direction
• Setting up procedures as instructed by provider
• Preparing treatment rooms for examinations and bringing patients from waiting room to exam rooms
• Checking patients in and out; verifying insurance; collecting payments
