Job summary

CareSpot Urgent Care in Florida is hiring a Medical Assistant to support providers with exams, blood draws, and immunizations. The role involves triaging patients, vitals, lab work, and preparing treatment rooms in a fast-paced urgent care environment.

The ideal candidate has MA-related certification or 6+ months of relevant experience, with BLS certification preferred. Prior healthcare experience, especially in urgent care, is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a Medical Assistant, EMT, Paramedic, or related program, OR CMA/RMA designation.
• 6 months of MA experience or CNA with phlebotomy experience.
• Prior healthcare setting experience preferred (emergency dept, urgent care, or ambulatory clinic).

Responsibilities

• Triaging patients, measuring vitals, and recording information on patient charts.
• Blood draws, venipuncture, specimen collection, and completion of lab work.
• Administering medications and immunizations under provider direction.
• Setting up procedures as instructed by provider.
• Preparing treatment rooms and guiding patients from waiting room to exam rooms.
• Checking in/out patients; verifying insurance; collecting payments.
